Description
- The ‘Apapane (Hawaiian Honey Creeper) feed on the ‘Ōhi’a nector for nutrients.
- ‘Ōhi’a flowers come in several different colors – ‘ula’ula (red), ‘alani (orange), melemele (yellow) & very rarely ke’oke’o (white).
- Most ‘Ōhi’a plants/tree’s are found near recent lava flows.
